I'm having some issues with DSLR Controller not displaying a live view for the lens onto my tablet. I can see the controller buttons on the screen but the live view is blank/black. Only when I switch to the video setting do I get a true live view where I can see on the tablet what the lens sees.
My equipment is:
- Canon t3i
- LG G Pad 7.0 LTE (Android)
- Lindy USB 2.0 Cable Micro-B/Mini-B 2m (I'm waiting on a second shorter cable I purchased).
- DSLR Controller app (of course)
On occasion, I'll get an alert when starting the app, "Cannot find a compatible camera", but this happens part of the time since I do get to the main screen of DSLR Controller. Don't know if the length of the cord is an issue, I am using the recommended Lindy USB cable I've seen posted on other forums, but as I mentioned, I've ordered a shorter 0.5m cable, hoping that might facilitate things.
Maybe unrelated, my shots are coming out kind of dark. Haven't tried the camera in a few weeks before this, so could be something else, but noticed it while using DSLR controller.
I appreciate any help or advice anyone may be able to offer.
